The Story of VT

Hazel: Hi Mr Jeong, thank you for taking the time to join our VANA Chatroom. Could you tell us how VT was created and the history behind the brand?

Mr Jeong: It all started with the question of what products consumers really want in a constantly changing trend and saturated fashion beauty market. Through countless research and trial and error, we ultimately came to the conclusion that products are not made by brands or companies, but rather determined by consumers. Based on the voice and needs of consumers, we strive to provide the brand's authenticity with good quality and reasonable prices. With this belief, we have developed our own unique ingredients and use the highest quality ingredients to develop products that fit each country and channel, which has earned us global love and recognition.

Hazel: On Instagram it’s stated that VT stands for "In Vogue and Timeless”. How do you reflect these concepts in your products and how do they relate to the brand’s philosophy?

Mr Jeong: I believe that a brand with a consumer-focused mindset and products born from it can create values that withstand the test of time. The constant researching and development to find the products that consumers want and the feedback they give are the most important philosophy and strongest advantage that VT values the most in the process of creating its products.

Hazel: What is the first thing you want your customers to think of when they see VT?

Mr Jeong: A brand with sincerity.


The Products of VT

Hazel: VT is perhaps most well known for the Cica product range; what is the inspiration behind creating the signature Cica line?

Mr Jeong: I believe that the foundation of skincare is soothing. VT was able to popularize the use of Cica ingredients among consumers by listening to their fundamental concerns and feedback.

Hazel: How does VT identify the best ingredient to help treat different skin concerns? For example: Cica, Super Hyalon, Progloss ranges?

Mr Jeong: It starts from the voice of consumers. It started with fundamental skin concerns such as soothing, moisturizing, and nourishing; VT was born through deep consideration and research such as securing the highest-grade raw materials, developing proprietary ingredients, and developing products that meet consumers’ needs.

Hazel: The Cica Collagen and Cica Vital collections are the latest to hit the shelves. What was the motivation behind choosing these ingredients to develop?

Mr Jeong: This also begins with the voice of the consumer. After identifying the needs for functionality such as wrinkle care and whitening, we have expanded our line based on VT's technological capabilities. It always seems to start with the fundamental skin concerns.

Hazel: As a skincare-focused brand, were there any thoughtful considerations that went into the making of your makeup products, e.g. the cushion foundations?

Mr Jeong: Yes; as a brand with a strength in skincare, we have conducted research and development to utilize Cica ingredients in our makeup products to provide a more soothing and less irritating management of the skin while applying makeup.

Mr Jeong: While many people know VT as a skincare brand, it is actually a company that has grown through its cushion products. The company takes pride in its cushion compacts and has earned recognition for its excellent ingredients and technological capabilities. We appreciate the love and support we have received for our skincare products and we also ask for your interest and love for our base products.

Hazel: Does VT update their formula of the same product from time to time to keep up with customer need/feedback?

Mr Jeong: We do not make changes easily or frequently. However, we are open to sufficient consideration and the possibility of changes if consumers desire.


The Future of VT

Hazel: Should we expect any new products from VT soon?

Mr Jeong: We are preparing an innovative product called a reedle shot.

Hazel: Any short-term or long-term goals for VT?

Mr Jeong: In the short term, our goal is to establish a stable position in the current market we are operating in. In the long term, we aim to pioneer and expand into untapped markets, becoming a globally beloved brand. Ultimately, our aspiration is to become a genuine brand that provides consumers with reasonably good products, and to increase our brand awareness among more people.

Q: Which product is the best selling product of all time, i.e. which one has been sold the most?

Mr Jeong: I believe that many customers of Stylevana have already tried VT's Cica Daily Soothing Mask. This product has surpassed 8 million accumulated sales (180 million sheets) and is considered the best product to experience VT.

Q: What products would you recommend for treating acne and scarring?

Mr Jeong: I would like to recommend VT's [upcoming] new product, reedle shot. It contains VT's natural needle ingredient, which delicately stimulates the skin, aiding in the absorption of skincare ingredients and improving rough skin texture. People with many acne scars can gradually increase the intensity to 100, 300, or 700 to see even greater results.

Q: Can you share more details about the Cica Essence Sun SPF50+ PA++++?

Mr Jeong: Like other products in the Cica line, it contains VT patented ingredients CICAHYALON™, [as well as] 8 Hyaluronic Acids amd Ceramide, M-peptide ACP, [and] Pearl Extract, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
