Go for gentler exfoliation

We all know that exfoliation is vital to any skin care regimen for all seasons, removing dead skin cell build-up and prepping for the subsequent goodies you’re going to apply. But in fall, it is easy to over-exfoliate and make your skin more susceptible to irritation. In terms of skin care benefits and effectiveness, we recommend a more gentle option: chemical exfoliants in a pad. 

Common chemical exfoliants: AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids, e.g. glycolic and lactic acids) and BHA (beta hydroxy/salicylic acid) are a powerful combination that gently breaks down dead skin cells, leaving skin smooth and polished. 

Side Note: Using too much of chemical exfoliators can cause adverse effect. It’s advised to exfoliate just one to three times per week.

Switch to a thicker moisturizer
