There’s one device in particular that has completely broken the boundaries of accessible skincare electronics, and it’s the social media-viral medicube Age-R Booster Pro. Hailey Bieber has been seen gliding it across her face on TikTok; Kylie Jenner swears by it for the ‘ultimate glass skin’; celebs love it just as much as skincare and beauty lovers worldwide, and it’s time you got to know this device for yourself. Function: So what is the Booster Pro, exactly? This is a 6-in-1 skincare treatment device that offers functions for hydrating, firming, brightening and smoothing the complexion, in addition to improving the absorption of active ingredients within skincare products. The high-tech device combines various treatments including LED light, microcurrent and sonic vibration to bring you a luxurious spa-like experience whenever you choose. One device gets you on the track towards poreless and radiant glass skin that’s perfectly plumped and hydrated.
How it works: The device is intended to be used during your PM routine. Once you’ve laid down a base layer of any chosen serum or cream–it requires some slip so it doesn’t drag or tug your skin during use–switch it on and choose your desired mode and level. That’s right, you get the most out of this device with its levels ranging from 1 to 5; this means you can start from level 1 as a beginner and work your way up the scale as your skin receives deeper treatment.
The modes:
• Advanced BOOSTER mode: enhances skin radiance and glow
• Volumizing MC mode: plumps up the skin for bounce and firmness
• DERMA-S mode: oversees the skin’s general health and appearance through easing muscle tension
• AIRSHOT mode: smooths out skin texture for an even complexion
An aspect that really solidifies the luxurious experience of the Booster Pro is that it pairs with a complementary app that lets you adjust the settings of your device, and even combine functions depending on what treatment your skin is in need of. Moreover, you get features like designing your skincare routine, tracking skin progress and getting involved with the Booster Pro community for skincare tips and knowledge.
Form: Considering how many modes you get out of the one device, you’ll find that the device itself is very convenient to use and store. It’s slightly taller than a pen and weighs probably around the same as your smartphone with a case on. There are several colours to choose from, but of course the team favorite is the pink device that fits in with the rest of medicube’s pink skincare range. We’d be happy to take it with us while travelling, but for the truly light packers medicube has an Age-R Booster Pro Mini that’s even more travel-friendly and lightweight.
Care and maintenance:After use, simply wipe the head of the device with a clean cloth to get rid of any residual skincare. It can be easily charged up with the Type C cable that it comes with whenever it runs out of battery. This isn’t your one-and-gone treatment device; it’s made to last.
Editor’s POV: Using the Booster Pro is such a treat. Like any type of skincare treatment it requires consistency and patience for the results to show, but the results are truly worth it. Having used this device for the past few months, I definitely notice my skin is more smooth and glowy, both from the enhanced absorption of my skincare and varying treatment modes it offers. I wake up with hydrated and taut, glassy skin and have found myself using less foundation because that glow is just *wow*.
Feedback from the team: they’re 100% pro Booster Pro. Our social media exec even uses the device on her traps muscles (DERMA-S mode) to release muscle tension after a particularly strenuous Reformer Pilates sesh.
The Booster Pro is obviously not the cheapest device on the market, but also not the most expensive. Given the multitude of functions it offers and the real results that I’m seeing, I give the device my wholehearted approval.
