Not only does the striking hot pink bottle stand out from the crowd, it’s also packed with interesting ingredients that offer promising results. But what’s the real tea on this collection newbie? Our Stylevana editor gets to the bottom of things to see if it’s worth your time, money and attention.

Formula: From a first glance at the bottle, you’re immediately informed about this serum’s key ingredients: NAD+ and Peptide. The latter has become a buzzword these past few years as more and more skincare users get to know about its benefits. Peptide is an ingredient that triggers the production of collagen and elastin within the skin, consequently plumping up sagging skin, improving fine lines and locking moisture in the skin barrier. You’ll find it in numerous skincare products, from eye creams to lip treatments, and it’s an ingredient that plays well with most skin types without any drawbacks.

Then we’ve got NAD+, which truly began to take off this year and became more widely accessible. This ingredient is crucial for maintaining cellular function so that your cells are able to regenerate and your skin barrier remains intact. Like Peptide, NAD+ also contributes towards collagen and elastin production so it’s a double whammy on the skin smoothing front; together, the two key ingredients keep your complexion strong, hydrated and free of signs of aging.

Texture and finish: If you look at all 5 serums of the lineup, they’re all made up of flakes suspended in a translucent serum base. This serum has a very similar texture to the Bakuchiol Plumping Serum, of which it’s thin, gentle, non-sticky and hydrating. Because of these characteristics, the serum absorbs well into the skin without leaving any residue or heaviness behind. Post-application the complexion looks and feels hydrated and fresh.

Packaging: There’s nothing bad to be said about the curved glass bottle of this product. With a shape akin to a palm stone, it’s comfortable to the touch and its pipette unscrews easily to dispense product.

Other things to note: While the serum’s ingredients are geared towards slow aging, it doesn’t mean it’s only meant for more mature skin types. Users of all skin types can use this formula to support their skin barrier (always important) and take a preventative approach to signs of aging. It doesn’t have a discernable scent, which is good news for complexions that are easily irritated by the addition of fragrance.
