‘One can never have enough socks,’ said the greatest wizard, Albus Dumbledore. (Yes, I know I am a Harry Potter nerd.) Believe it or not, I’m a big fan of the quote.

Socks. Yep, the last item you probably think of when putting together your outfit. They’re critical to making your favorite pair of flats or sneakers actually comfortable and also stylish. We are more used to keeping our socks hidden, opting for supershort lengths, sneaking them under boots and even ditching them. With Kpop taking over the globe, it seems impossible for us to overlook how Korean idols, especially TWICE, rock the socks game.

Now, this $5 fashion “afterthought” is now a wardrobe staple. We might need to consider that socks can actually be pretty cute and fashionable. Keep scrolling to see how TWICE have the best socks game.

Playful Socks

Socks are a necessary that can spice up any outfit. If you’re sticking to trending primary colour-themed look, complete it with a pair of playful socks. For an everyday look, sneakers are my number one go-to to wear with colourful socks. But you can also pair them with heels to update your sweet-looking frock with a pop of pattern. Skip the no-shows and start wearing your shoes with fun ankle socks – you’ll see your feet and smile.

Knee-High Socks

Knee-high socks may seemingly speak to a 90’s school vibe. And today, I want to show you how TWICE wear them. Sporty? Check. Varsity? Yes. Stylish? Of course.

What about the more athletic styles in your drawer, they’re not just reserved for the gym or bumming around. Another great way to make these socks work for you is to achieve a school girl look. Mix and match with a white button-up blouse, oversized sweater, and mini skirt. I do like pairing my favorite Contrast Striped Over-knee Ribbed Socks with shorts for a casual look but more.

You can also keep things monochromatic by wearing the plain black knee-high socks with your LBD and high-platform ankle-boots. I would say this is more of a fall look of styling socks. In fact, it is also my favorite way to wear them! Believe me, they are the easiest to mix and match with any look. Shhh! Secret: wear black heels with tonal knee-high socks and a mini skirt will create a wonderful illusion of longer legs!

Invisible Socks

Sometimes, we wear socks for functionality instead of showing off. Liner socks are a necessity for pairing with sneakers and slip-on shoes to avoid sweaty feet and smelly shoes. Of course, we know what you are looking for: a pair that won’t slip off your feet. Below are the best invisible socks to pair with kitten heels, ballerina flats, loafers, slip-ons, and sneakers; you name it.
